Hello 2016!
Over two months later and we're back! Apologies for my lack of activity, but the last few weeks have been pretty hectic. One things for sure, I couldn't let 2015 go, without taking time to look at back it's best bits.
March brought a short break to Reading, which brought unexpected news. Following the incredible opportunity of an interview at Giles. I was offered an internship with them for the summer.
March also brought a fashion print project in college which was really enjoyable, designing a Womenswear Spring Summer collection for 2016.
April introduced a lifestyle print project in collaboration with Tigerprint, which was a really good experience.
Now May was certainly an eventful month, finishing up with college for the year and final assessments. More importantly, it was the month that Ireland voted YES to the same-sex marriage referendum and it was also the month that I came out. I don't think I knew at the start of the month, that it was going to happen but it just felt like the right time. I've never been so nervous doing anything in my life, so unsure of what the response would be, but it honestly couldn't have went down better. It was one of the best things I've ever done and I genuinely feel so much better from it. It was like a weight been lifted off my shoulders and it was time for me to be true to myself.
I spent June at home, spending time with family and preparing to move to London. I also spent a lot of time practicing for my Irish Dancing World Championships, which unbelievably I placed 10th in, as well as our Dance Drama placing third.
July was also a big one, I made the move to London and started my internship at Giles. I won't bore you guys with all the information, but it you are interested, you can check out my previous posts about my time in London.

By the end of September, I was back home and straight into my final year of college.
The first weekend of October, I got home to see my family for the first time since the start of July. Life was back to somewhat of a normality by then. Surrounded by deadlines at college and back practicing dance for the up and coming regional qualifiers.
November brought our dancing regional qualifers and shockingly, I held onto my regional title for another year.
College was getting more and more stressful with thesis deadlines and studio deadlines, but aside from all the stress, I was loving being back with the group and looking forward to getting out into the working world, after the taste I got over the summer.
2015 brought many other amazing events, from concerts such as The Coronas, McBusted, Passenger & Olly Murs to musicals on the West End such as Billy Elliot, Les Miserables, The Lion King and more.
It was definitely one of the biggest years of my life, so much happened that I am truly grateful for. I met so many incredible people, learnt so much and I can only hope that 2016 brings as much exciting events.
So yea, back to the fact that it's been over two months since I've posted on here, as I said earlier, the last few months have been quite stressful with college work, and no doubt as semester one comes to a close, semester two is going to be just as bad. I don't want to fall out of the habit of positing though, so I plan is to post at least once a month until July, when college ends and then hopefully take things more seriously once I finish college and try take blogging to the next level. I really enjoy doing this, I love hearing from you guys, all the feedback has been amazing and really motivational, so thanks so much. It's something I didn't mention in my highlights from this year, but definitely shouldn't go with mentioning, it was a great year for my blog and hopefully 2016 will bring lots more of exciting content your way.
2015 has surpassed so many of my expectations, so many things happened that I never would have expected.
So here's my best bits from 2015 and some of my favourite instagram posts from the year - barryt95
January brought the birth of the first girl in my generation on the Taylor side of the family, the sweetheart that is Connie Elizabeth Johnston.
In February, we spent three weeks weaving in college, which was surprisingly enjoyable and therapeutic.
March also brought a fashion print project in college which was really enjoyable, designing a Womenswear Spring Summer collection for 2016.
April introduced a lifestyle print project in collaboration with Tigerprint, which was a really good experience.
