Red Carpet Review: The Emmy's & The GQ Awards 2014!

Just a quick review of the Emmys and the GQ Awards Red Carpet Style. Once again, I know these were quite a while ago, still playing catch up, sorry! Next up is a review on last week's New York Fashion Week.

What: The 66th Emmy Awards
When: 25th of August 2014
Where: Los Angeles, California

First up on my list of favourites from the Emmy Red Carpet, is Ms. Taylor Schilling wearing a stunning Zuhair Murad piece from the Autumn/Winter collection 2014. I feel I run the risk of being a bit biased by including her in my Top 3. After watching Orange is the New Black, over the last few weeks, I felt compelled to feature the leading actress. Regardless, she did own this look and truly dressed to impress, representing the OITNB cast well. The gown was accompanied with a elegant Raowolf clutch and simple Forevermark Jewellery.

Heidi Klum arrived to the Emmy's, looking effortlessly beautiful in a coral Zac Posen gown from his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. I love the design of this gown, so simple, one colour, one piece and no embellishments. I think it's perfect for Ms. Klum, really showing off her flawless figure. The beautiful gown was accessorised with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.

Last but not certainly, not least...hands down, my favourite look of the Emmy's 2014. The 'Modern Family' star, Sarah Hyland strolled up in an outstandingly simple, yet stunning custom-made crop top and skirt by Christian Siriano. A vibrant flowing coral skirt along side a white crop top, certainly gave Sarah all the right sort of attention. Showing just the right amount skin, baring her mid riff, I believe it goes with out saying that Sarah Hyland ruled the Emmy red carpet...hence why she's my best dressed of the Emmy Awards 2014.

What: The GQ Men of the Year Awards
When: 2nd of September 2014
Where: Royal Opera House, London

There's quite a few looks from the GQ Awards that impressed me, both men and women. So here's a quick run down.

The one and only Kim Kardashian rocked up, in a very different, yet impressive piece. Wearing a custom-made Ralph and Russo Couture crystal corseted dress along with an Atsuko Kudo bodysuit. Kim kept it simple with loose curls, minimal make up, jewelled sandals and a bracelet. Mrs Kardashian West also managed to bag herself 'Woman of the Year' at the award ceremony.

Next up on my list, is Ms Cara Delevingne. This woman could wear almost anything, one of the most stunning creatures on the planet at the moment, ruling catwalks, left, right and centre. Cara strutted the carpet, in a beautiful sheer Burberry Prorsum dress and Tabitha Simmons boots, along with a rather unusual mouth accessory, of a cocktail stick.

Nicole Scherzinger rarely does wrong. With that figure, all she needs, is too keep it simple and fitted and that's exactly what she did. Wearing a beautiful Ermanno Scervino gown, strapless and pale pink.. perfection. Alongside Mr. Hamilton winning Sportsman of the Year award, the couple truly represented.

Next up Jamie Dornan, Winner of the Vertu Breakthrough Artist of the Year award and star of 'Fifty Shades of Gray', casually embraced the red carpet in the oh-so popular shiny blue suit. Dangerously contrasting with a black tie and black shoes, but he got away with it!

Gerard Butler is well used to his public appearances by this stage, so I wouldn't expect anything other than an impressive wardrobe choice. In this sleek custom-made BOSS suit, Mr Butler really owns the navy/black contrast with a crisp white shirt to complete.

Choosing my best dressed for the GQ Awards, was quite difficult. Despite how stunning and effortless Nicole Scherzy looked, I feel it didn't just make the cut for Best Dressed. So, for the simple reason that her outfit stood out in the crowd for all the right reasons, my best dressed for the GQ Men of the Year Awards goes to Cara Delevingne.
